4,4'-Diphenyl ether dicarboxylic acid is used to prepare liquid crystal polymers. It is widely used in the electronics and pharmaceutical industries. The preparation of fully polymerized thermoplastic polymer liquid crystal (TLCP) can also be used to prepare high strength, high modulus of liquid crystal fibers, industrial special plastics and polymer flame retardants. It is also used as a non-liquid crystal polymer additive, which reduces the baking temperature and the viscosity of the polymer to facilitate processing of the manufactured insulating material.
